At
the
beginning of the century, the city was gripped with bloody revolution
and the monarchy fell. And these are the players now fighting
for control of the city and countryside. |

shield of nationalism to slay the dragon of monarchy. |
By keeping the yellow field
of Empire, the provisional government hopes to create a sense
of
inheritence
from the former monarchist government. |

Under
Empire, this organization was the secret police. After the
revolution and under the control of Colonel Alexander, it has
evolved
into
something even more insidious. |
The
shape of the provisional government changes as years pass; from
an oligarchy to a chaotic tyranny, but has always had one goal-
to keep life as normal as possible in order to encourage consumer
spending. In order to facilitate this, what civil services there
are in the City stem from this organization, as well as many
other "services" that would be considered black market
or illegal in other places. |
Although
the emblem is intrinsically Royalist and the organization
consists mainly of members of the former aristocracy gone
underground,
the
former royal
army
and staunch monarchists, the 'Wall's main
concern is keeping
the country's borders
intact. As DEEP and the Provisional Government
vie for power in the City Itself, the 'Wall makes sure no
foreign power interferes. The 'Wall has been known to interfere
in
local politics, but only when one of the other factions shows
too great an advantage. |
